APMC’s Tony Martin and Michael Magpusao Present Sustainability Breakth

Tony Martin, President of Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC), and Michael Magpusao, Chief Operating Officer and Technical Group Head, took the stage at Energy Efficiency Day 2025 on March 20 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. Their presentation underscored APMC’s commitment to sustainability and energy management. In line with the event’s theme, "First Fuel: Doubling Energy Efficiency Progress on the Road to 2030," they shared the company’s initiatives to enhance energy efficiency in buildings and communities, reinforcing APMC’s role in promoting a greener future.

Role in Sustainable Property Management

As the largest property management company in the Philippines, APMC oversees more than 270 properties, including malls, offices, residential buildings, and estates. Mr. Martin and Mr. Magpusao highlighted how APMC integrates smart and sustainable solutions to reduce energy consumption while maintaining operational efficiency.

Mr. Magpusao emphasized that sustainability is at the core of APMC’s operations. He spoke about the importance of collaboration and innovation in driving environmental progress. In synergy with Mr. Martin’s message, they both emphasized that meaningful change is driven by strong partnerships and shared responsibility.

Delivering Real Sustainability Results

APMC and Ayala Land have long been committed to sustainability, evident in their pioneering launch of the country’s first electric vehicle (EV) heavy equipment and charging station at the MDC Technology Center. This dedication to eco-friendly construction and innovation has been further reinforced by their ISO 50001:2018 certification for energy management practices. Under their leadership, APMC's energy-saving efforts have also earned several recognitions, including the Renewable Energy Enabler Award (REENA), which honors outstanding contributions to advancing renewable energy in the Philippines.

Aligning with Ayala Land’s adoption of the Energy Service Company (ESCO) model to enhance energy efficiency across its properties, APMC’s progress demonstrates that energy efficiency can be achieved through commitment and strong leadership.

APMC’s journey shows that energy efficiency is possible through commitment, consistent action, and intentional efforts—not just words or promises, but real, measurable results.
