APMC Dominates DOE’s EEE Awards 2025 with Multiple Energy Efficiency Recognitions
Published on December 22, 2025
Progress is rarely made by accident. It is built through daily decisions, shared responsibility, and a steady belief that doing what is right today shapes a better tomorrow.
At the Energy Efficiency Excellence (EEE) Awards 2025, the Department of Energy (DOE) honored organizations that embody this belief by turning sustainability from an ideal into action. Among those recognized was Ayala Property Management Corporation (APMC), whose projects served as examples of how thoughtful design and disciplined operations can yield meaningful impact.
The EEE Awards is an annual recognition program of DOE that acknowledges companies, projects, government sectors, and individuals that demonstrate exemplary energy efficiency practices. This year, APMC earned multiple distinctions across key categories, reflecting its commitment to responsible energy management across a wide range of developments.
In the Energy Management category for New and Existing Buildings, the Alveo Financial Tower was recognized for its performance. Eligible buildings under this category require substantial energy consumption and recent completion, making the award a testament to how efficiency can be embedded early and managed consistently over time.
APMC also received recognition under the Tropical Buildings category for Bonifacio High Street East and Serendra Retail. These developments highlighted the effective use of passive design strategies, prioritizing natural airflow and reducing dependence on air conditioning. In a climate where energy demand continues to rise, these projects demonstrated that climate-responsive design is both practical and forward-looking.
Further distinctions were awarded to APMC, under Small and Medium Buildings, BPI Intramuros, and Capital House Condo Corp. were recognized for maintaining an average electricity consumption of two million kilowatt-hours or less over the past three years, while sustaining efficient operations for more than five years. These awards reflect how long-term discipline and consistent management can deliver measurable results.
In the Large Buildings category, Ayala North Exchange was honored for its energy management performance. With average electricity consumption exceeding two million kilowatt-hours over the same period, these facilities demonstrated that scale is not a barrier to efficiency when systems, monitoring, and leadership are aligned.
APMC’s commitment to innovation was further recognized through the Special Award for Energy Efficiency Excellence under Energy Efficiency Projects Best Practices and Measures, awarded to Abreeza Residences Condo Corp. The recognition highlighted the implementation of building-wide energy conservation practices that were both innovative and cost-effective, resulting in meaningful reductions in energy consumption.
During the awarding ceremony, DOE Secretary Sharon Garin congratulated the Ayala Group on receiving the most awards this year. One of the event’s highlights was also the presentation of the Don Emilio Abello Award for Energy Efficiency Excellence to Ayala Corporation Chairman and CEO Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala, which was received on his behalf by APMC President Tony Martin.
In his message, Martin shared, “Ayala has long been recognized for its commitment to sustainability, particularly in the area of energy efficiency. To be part of these efforts at the operational level is a source of great pride for us at APMC. We see their impact not only within the communities we manage, but also in the broader environment we serve.”
Beyond the awards themselves, the recognition speaks to stewardship. It is about choosing to build and manage environments that respect both people and the planet. It is about understanding that progress is sustained when responsibility becomes part of everyday decisions.
APMC’s achievements at the EEE Awards 2025 affirm that energy efficiency is not a destination. It is a continuing commitment, one that calls for vision, consistency, and the willingness to keep raising the standard for what responsible development can be.
